Butterfly Wings (a poem of mine)

So it's been a while, life has been busy.   Life has been life and I am happy.  I've had so many poems stuck in my head trying to get out for a while, this one pushed it's way in today and just had to be set free.  Enjoy. 

Butterfly Wings

Searching across the room

My heart flutters

Like butterfly wings

When I see you

You say my name

My heart flutters

Stops a beat

“Hello”

I say to you

My heart all a flutter

Quiet as a whisper

My voice

Like butterfly wings

All a flutter

In the wind

My heart catches

My breathe gasp

As you fingers flutter

To pull me close

Your lips glide over mine

 Nibbling at nectar

My heart flutters

Like butterfly wings

Your touch is to my skin

Furious

Fast

Like butterfly wings

Trying to stay

Above air

Gasping

For more air

You leave me

Gasping

Fluttering

With desire

For more nectar

You leave me

Fluttering

From the room

On butterfly wings.
